- Teaching probability before moving on to polyhedral dice
Need a polyhedral die instead?
A coin is just a two-sided roll. For the rest of the set, use the D&D dice roller or open a dedicated page:
Frequently asked questions
Is this coin flip fair?
Yes. Each flip is an independent 50/50 random result — the same as rolling a two-sided die (d2). Nothing is weighted toward heads or tails.
Can I flip more than one coin?
Yes. Set the Coins field to any number from 1 to 20, then hit Flip. Each coin is flipped independently and added to the history and totals.
Does the simulator save my results?
Results stay in your browser for this session only. Use Reset to clear the history and counters. Nothing is sent to a server.
How do I roll a d20 or other dice instead?
Open the full Dice Cove dice roller for d4–d20, d%, modifiers, advantage, and multi-line setups — or jump straight to a dedicated die page like Roll a d20.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes. Use Flip on phones and tablets. Keyboard shortcuts (Space / Enter) work on desktop.
